Almafuerte College was born from young four friends. They had a dream. They wanted to be teachers, their real vocation. The four children had met at college, later they graduabled together. Years later they put desks and boards to the classrooms. The school's name is a tribute to Pedro Benifacio Palacios. The college started with four groups in the mornings and three in the afternoons.
In 1967, there were fifty-seven students, and in 1980 there were four hundred seventy one.
